One of the biggest trends in website design is feature less text on the home page. This is because the home page should do two things quickly:
- Validate the visitors choice to click on the website. If they want to hire an attorney for a specific matter, the home page should let them know:they are looking at an attorney’s website that the attorney has the expertise to handle that matter – or not
- Make it easier for the visitor to take the next step which is contact the attorney or further validate that this is the attorney they want to contact.
Neither of these behaviors requires paragraphs of dense text. They require a couple sentences and a clear link to pages on the website that will answer these questions.
