“Get Active and Get Business”
This is item number five and I think the most important one for attorneys. Most attorneys aren’t going to be reaching out for introductions to prospect for new business. Attorneys will use LinkedIn in a softer way which is why the “Activity” tab is so useful. Here is where your status update will get posted to your connections along with your activity in various groups.
Make sure you think about what messages you are communicating by your activity. These messages should be showing your value for the expertise and work that you most want people to turn to you for hire. For example, I want people to see me as someone who knows how to coordinate face to face marketing with online marketing. My messaging should show how I’m reaching out to my audience online about face to face efforts. That reinforces my value proposition.
